A MUCH-LOVED car dealership has closed its doors leaving customers frustrated – but it’s not all bad news.
The showroom, which represents a big-name manufacturer, has announced plans to cut back its hours.

Brindley Honda in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, will now only open six days a week.
It previously welcomed customers on any day, but will now be closed on Sundays.
Bosses say the change has been made to support staff’s “health and wellbeing”.
The move is designed to allow employees more time with their families and prevent burnout.
This will allow them to “prioritise mental and physical rejuvenation” and enjoy a “healthier work-life balance“.
A statement from the Brindley Group said that the new policy allowed the company to stand as “an inspiring agent of change”.
Announcing the plans, Che Watson, Brindley’s Managing Director, said: “Our success as a motor dealer group has always rested on the strength of our team and the relationships we’ve built with our customers.
“By closing our doors on Sundays, we want to convey a clear message: we value the importance of a balanced work-life equation, and we want our employees and customers to relish their weekends to the fullest.”
A company spokesperson added: “The Brindley Group remain focused on showing dedication to improving the lives of its team members; also strengthening community bonds.
“This decision enables all staff to return to work at the start of each week feeling refreshed, motivated and fully prepared to deliver exceptional service to our customers, elevating the overall customer service to new heights.
“As the news of the decision spreads, others businesses are taking notice and could potentially transform the way that other motor groups conduct their business.”
The change came into effect on October 1.
However, while its doors will be closed on Sundays, the dealership will still maintain its usual opening hours of 9am to 7pm Monday to Friday.
It also opens between 9am and 5.30pm on Saturdays.
The news has emerged in the wake of a string of major dealerships cutting back or even shutting down permanently.
One outlet even failed to inform customers, with motorists only discovering the closure when they turned up to have their cars serviced.
