MOTHER’S Day is just days away and M&S has launched an “amazing” £10 afternoon tea deal to mark the occasion.
The offer is available at 112 Marks and Spencer cafes across the UK.
Marks and Spencer is running a Mother’s Day afternoon tea for £10
Mother’s Day falls on Sunday, March 10 this year, but M&S has made its deal available all week.
It’s available for just £10 per person, or £20 for two.
The deal includes a selection of sandwiches, a scone with Cornish clotted cream, jam and British strawberries, a mini chocolate cupcake, a cinnamon sugar palmier and a macaron.
The Sun has asked M&S for a list of all the sandwiches included in the selection and we will update this story once we hear back.
Anyone wanting to spice up the meal can add a mini bottle of prosecco, or non-alcoholic prosecco, for an extra £5.
If you don’t want to upgrade, you will still get tea included in the deal.
There is also a gluten-free option, which includes a cheddar cheese New Yorker sandwich, a fruit scone with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry jam, fresh berries, and a lemon shortbread.
You can find your nearest M&S cafe by using the store locator tool on its website.
It’s not the first time M&S has run this deal, and fans have taken to social media to share their excitement over its return.
One Facebook user said: “Count me in.”
Another added: “Wow looks amazing!”
A third cried: “I want to go and try this!”
Last year, the deal was priced at £12.50 for one, or £25 for two.
The Sun has asked M&S if there are any changes to this year’s deal which may have affected the price.
M&S has also made a huge change to Connie the Caterpillar ahead of Mother’s Day.
It said the limited edition Connie is the “perfect way to spoil someone this mother’s day”.
How do we celebrate Mother’s Day?
In the UK Mother’s Day is celebrated in a wide range of different ways.
Families with young children may encourage little ones to make breakfast in bed for their mum as a token of appreciation, or they may make Mother’s Day cards at school.
Afternoon tea is a traditionally British way of celebrating Mother’s day, other families may opt to take their mum out for dinner, go to the cinema, or simply go for a walk.
Gifts, cards, flowers and chocolates are always well received by mums on Mother’s Day. But spending time with your Mum on Mother’s Day is often the best gift.
Are any other supermarkets doing Mother’s Day offers?
