Ford Mustang GTD

The latest spec of the iconic muscle car promises, according to Ford, “supercar power with a Mustang soul”.
It features a 5.2-litre supercharged V8 laying down over 800 horsepower, using a double-clutch transmission to put out “monstrous potency”.
And that’s not the only thing that’s monstrous, with the price tag rumoured to be around £238,000 for a base model.
Aston Martin Valhalla

This stunning, 217mph Aston Martin was named for the equivalent of heaven in Norse mythology, where Viking warriors would go if they died in battle to drink, feast and fight for all eternity.
The British brand is attempting to capture some of the same warrior spirit in its first ever hybrid supercar.
Using hybrid tech borrowed from super-EV manufacturer Rimac, the Valhalla boasts over 1,000 horsepower to add the bite to its sleek design, provided by legendary F1 engineer and designer Adrian Newey.
All that pedigree doesn’t come cheap, though, with a whopping £580,000 price tag.
Mercedes-AMG GT

Mercedes has a strong track record in using its in-house tuning company AMG to put out some real road-legal beasts and the GT is no different.
The twin-turbocharged V8 doesn’t quite match the power of the previous two entries, with just 577 horsepower, but still gives enough punch to propel you up the motorway at quite a clip.
Despite the power disparity, it will make 0-60 in just 0.4s slower than the Aston, with 2.9s to the Valhalla’s 2.5s.
It also isn’t far away on top speed, managing 196mph maxed out, all for a fraction of the price at £140,000.
McLaren 750S

Another British offering on the list, the 750S was described by Abigayle as looking like “the 720S and 765LT had a baby”.
Like many of its rivals, it employs a suped-up V8, this time to grant 740 horsepower and a 206mph top speed.
Price-wise, it sits closest to the Mustang, at £244,750.
MG Cyberster

The only all-electric offering of the genre, the Cyberster goes down quite a different route to many others on the list.
Rather than the traditional smooth and curvy carbon fibre design seen on most modern supercars, MG went for a more flamboyant touch with a drop-top and scissor doors to match.
Customers will be able to pick up either the single-motor, rear-wheel drive variant with an expected 335 horsepower or its dual-motor, all-wheel drive older brother with 500 horsepower.
It’s predicted to cost between £50,000 and £60,000 and have a range of 300 miles or more.
