The video revealed the car part most prone to damageInstagram

It said that wing mirrors are most at risk for bumps and scrapesInstagram

The clip was captioned: “Save yourself from getting a dent.

“Thank us later.”

It informed viewers that the wing mirrors are the part of the car “most prone to dents and scratches”.

The video helpfully gave a close up of the mirror and circled it in red to make it clear.

However, drivers can be reassured that all is not lost.

GoMechanic provided a handy option to help prevent irritating breakages of such a vital part.

They recommended folding your wing mirrors in if it is possible on your car.

Most modern vehicles are able to do this.

Some do this automatically when parked or by using a button on the dashboard, while other have to be folded in manually.

If your car can’t though, it may be worth parking extra carefully to make sure the mirrors aren’t sticking out.

Sadly, the advice arrived too late for one unlucky motorist.

He wrote in the video’s comments: “Wish I saw this before mine got scratched.”
