MORE than 1,000 flights have been cancelled today, with around 190,000 passengers expected to be affected.
Strikes across Europe have caused concerns for Brits heading to places like France and Spain this half term.

However, today’s cancellations are mainly being caused by strikes in Germany.
Staff across seven airports in the country are walking out today, with passengers warned to expect “massive disruptions”.
German trade union Verdi on Wednesday called on workers at Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Hamburg, Dortmund, Hanover and Bremen airports to go on a 24-hour strike, saying collective bargaining efforts had made little progress.
Data compiled by aviation analytics company Cirium claim that more than 1,110 departures from German airports will be affected.
They say that equates to more than 190,000 seats on board those planes.
Frankfurt Airport was scheduled to see the highest number of departures (478), followed by Munich (366), Hamburg (128), Stuttgart (75), Hannover (33), Bremen (19) and Dortmund (18).
Lufthansa will be the most affected, as they were scheduled to operate the most departures (588), followed by Eurowings (81) and Air Dolomiti (34).
There are 74 flights scheduled to depart from the affected German airports to the UK today, with Heathrow, Manchester, Birmingham and London City seeing the highest number of flights.
Frankfurt Airport, the largest in the country, warned yesterday that flights would be “heavily disrupted”.
They added: “Passengers are strongly advised to refrain from travelling to the airport.”
It comes just hours after Frankfurt Airport was forced to close after an IT shortage grounded all Lufthansa flights.
The strikes are the latest to affect travellers this week, with air traffic controllers in France staging a walkout on Wednesday night, starting from 6pm on February 15 and lasting until 6am this morning.
Airlines including Ryanair, easyJet and BA were all forced to cancel flights due to the strike.
An easyJet spokesperson said: “Airlines have been requested by the French authorities to make cancellations to their flying programmes on Thursday 16 February.”
And Ryanair said they would have to cancel “a small number of flights”.
