In a clip posted to TikTok he can be seen telling the pair off and trying to get them to leave, claiming they were disrupting his four-year-old child’s nap.
He fumed: “I’ve got a four-year-old trying to sleep in there.
“You’re sitting here revving your engine like you’re 17 years old.
“[The driver] looks 35 so you’re not boy racers anymore are you?”
The passenger countered that they weren’t revving the Audi RS engine deliberately and that it was just loud, but the driver was visibly pressing the accelerator during the exchange.
Tensions escalated as they went back and forth, with the dad threatening to call the police.
He was further angered by the passenger’s suggestion that he was, in fact, the one being disruptive by coming out to shout at them.
They also claimed that they were just waiting for a friend in the area and refused to move elsewhere despite the dad repeatedly telling them to.
The final straw came when the passenger said: “Go back inside your house and look after your four-year-old.”
The driver then revved the engine yet again and the pair shared a laugh.
In a fit of rage, the dad erupted: “Oh it’s funny now is it?
“Is this funny to you? Go.”
He then walked back to his house with a last look back at the car.
The car, an Audi RS, is a 400 horsepower sports-hatchback which can go from nought to sixty in 3.8 seconds.
According to a review in The Independent, the model’s noise reaches 98 decibels, which is just 10 below the pain threshold for an adult human ear.
The original TikTok video sparked debate in the comments, but was taken down and reuploaded, with account posting it saying it briefly got them banned from the platform.
It comes after a clip of a furious motorist went viral as he banged on a woman’s window and hurled abuse at her outside a petrol station.
Meanwhile, a man who became a household name through a road rage row revealed a side to the story that most people don’t know.
