Moment driver fumes at HGV for not letting her merge on dual carriageway – but who is in the wrong?

THIS is the moment a driver fumes at a HGV for not letting her merge on a dual carriageway – but who was in the wrong?

Dashcam footage posted by the lorry driver on TikTok revealed exactly why the two motorists clashed.

The HGV driver was driving along the motorway before a car tried to mergetiktok

But the lorry driver doesn’t move over leaving the other motorist fuming

The video starts with the HGV driver travelling on the main road of a motorway in his fully loaded 44-ton lorry.

As the lorry driver turns round one corner, a car can be seen approaching from his left via a slip road.

But as the lanes merged, the car driver matches the lorry’s speed instead of overtaking or dropping behind.

Eventually, the driver of the car realises that the HGV driver is not going to lower his speed or move over and decides to drop back.

The TikToker claims in text on the screen that “she has the audacity to beep me and give me a w****r sign.”

And he blasted the other motorist and urged her to “learn the highway code!”

As always, TikTokers were quick to weigh in with their opinions after watching the viral video.

There were some viewers who were on the side of the motorist driving the car.

One wrote: “Highway code says you are supposed to let them in.”

Another said: “The poster is totally in the wrong. This is a merge and your are obliged to slow down to let someone merge into your lane.”

However, a large proportion of commenters said that the HGV driver was well within their rights and had priority.

“The comments saying the car is in the right need to retake theory and most liking the driving test,” said one.

A second commenter defending the HGV wrote: “Amount of people saying you were in the wrong is shocking, standard of car drivers these days is shocking.”

And a third TikToker slammed the car driver, commenting: “So many dangerous drivers have no idea how to join a carriageway safely.”

It comes after one driver was seen overtaking a queue of more than 30 cars in dashcam footage.

A video shows the car drive down a dual carriageway in the right hand lane, alongside traffic backed up in the left.

Meanwhile, a shocking video has revealed the moment an SUV smashes into a parked car, almost ripping the driver’s door clean off.
