CELTIC ultras unveiled banners as they showed common cause with Palestinian militants amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East.
Israeli air attacks have been launched on Gaza after a surprise Hamas offensive against Israel which killed at least 40.
The pro-Palestine banners displayed by the Celtic fans
Parkhead followers have often expressed support for the Palestinian cause.
And they did so again ahead of today’s clash with Kilmarnock at Parkhead.
They unfurled banners which read: “Free Palestine”.
“Victory to the resistance”.
A section of the Hoops supporters also risked the wrath of Uefa with anti-fascist and anti-Lazio banners during the midweek Champions League defeat.
They landed their club a £13,000 fine after displaying what Uefa called ‘illicit banners’ during a previous Parkhead meeting between the two clubs.
long with the words “Anti Fascist Glasgow Celtic”, the massive circular banner has an image of former Italian fascist leader Benito Mussolini — upside down — with the words “Follow Your Leader”.
There was also a message read: “Lazio Vaffanculo” – which translated into the Italian tells the away team to “f*** off”.
The news came on the very same day the club hit out at fans after pyrotechnics in Rotterdam cost them a whopping £23k fine.
