The Sun can reveal that the popular free streaming service will finally launch on boxes across the country.

ITVX launched at the end of last year to replace the old ITV Hub.

But millions were disappointed that it wasn’t ready for Sky Q just yet.

It’s meant that many were unable to watch favourites like Corrie and Emmerdale on demand as well as ITVX exclusives.

This includes bit hits such as Nolly and A Spy Among Friends.

It’s part of ITV’s big change to make hit shows available for streaming first months before they are broadcast on ITV1.

You could use the smart TV app to get around the hold up, but it wasn’t ideal for those who like all their telly in one place.

An update will begin rolling out to Sky Q boxes this afternoon.

You should see the ITVX logo within the apps section.

Of course, Sky Glass and Sky Stream users were unaffected, as they received the free new app months ago.

ITVX is available free of charge with ads.

Though there is a paid option that allows you to skip ads.

Sky also offers its own ad skipping on all three of its TV platforms.

Head to the Stream, Glass and Q pages on the Sky website to see the latest prices on these products.
