New station GREAT! Real has finally landed for millions of homes, offering programmes of “genuine drama and authentic stories centred around real people and events”.

Shows you can expect include:

Heathrow: Britain’s Busiest Airport

Cops Uncut

Emergency Rescue: Air, Land and Sea

Police Ten 7

Coast Guard Alaska

Paddington Station 24/7

It’s the sister station to existing GREAT! brands, GREAT! Movies, GREAT! Action, GREAT! Romance and GREAT! TV.

You can find GREAT! Real on Freeview channel 61.

It’s also available on Sky satellite, via channel number 189.

Channel changes

Sadly, the new channel comes as another disappears.

Today also marks the day kids station Tiny POP is removed from all boxes as a linear channel.

That not only includes Freeview and Sky, but also Freesat and Virgin Media.

Fortunately, the channel will live on in digital form via free platforms like Samsung TV Plus and via the POP Player app.

But in a matter of days a free sports channel is going for good.

SportyStuff TV will cease broadcasting on March 31.

Bosses recently said in a statement that 2023 was the company’s most successful year of trading but “external circumstances beyond our control” has forced the channel to end.
