MILLIONS of Brits have been urged to look into an “unexpected money-maker” using an often neglected spring cleaning hack.

Experts from Your Parking Space explained how motorists who benefit from a garage or driveway at home could be in the money.
The company cited RAC figures which suggest as many as six million British homeowners have parking areas full of junk.
By clearing out all the clutter, you could unlock income of up to £1,700 a year.
Renting out a garage or driveway can be a lucrative way to make use of the extra space.
According to Your Parking Space, bays can be loaned out for an average of £148 a month.
And some can even fetch as much as £5,000 in the same period.
Indeed, one pensioner revealed how she made over £1,000 extra in her retirement using the handy side hustle.
Becca, from West London, said: “I looked at what everyone else was charging and just charged a bit less so I could get lots of business.
“I have the lowest rate in the area, so I come up first and get continuous bookings.”
Best of all, sturdy skip bags can be picked up from outlets like B&Q or Screwfix for as little as £15 so clearing out your junk can be a cheap affair.
Andy Syrett, UK Managing Director for Your Parking Space, said: “Mid-March and early April is a time when many households are looking at ways to combat annual price rises to their council tax, as well as hikes to essentials such as water and mobile phone bills.
“But by investing a small amount of money and some elbow grease you could unlock a potential revenue stream.
“Last year there was nearly 147 million searches of motorists looking for parking on our site so the demand is there, and with the Easter holidays around the corner and better weather it could be the perfect time to rent out your unused parking space.”
