Miley Cyrus: singer, songwriter, two-time Grammy nominee, actor, and, as of Dec. 9, barber. During her recent “Tonight Show” appearance, Cyrus was tasked with shaving off host Jimmy Fallon’s beard in front of his live studio audience, and the results actually weren’t too shabby.
When asked if she had any prior beard-shaving experience, Cyrus candidly responded, “No. I don’t know what you’re gonna look like,” before tossing a cape over Fallon. She then began trimming his scruff with unsure upward motions and joked, “It’s not as bad as it looks.” The quips continued throughout their impromptu salon session, with Fallon mimicking a wrestler when Cyrus initially styled his facial hair into a goatee. While removing hair from under his chin, Cyrus hilariously exclaimed, “I think it’s in my mouth,” and Fallon added, “You just threw a chunk on the ground.”
After finishing off the upper-lip area, Cyrus revealed her handiwork to the audience, dusting off excess hair clippings from Fallon’s face with a brush like a true pro. Fallon had been rocking the beard since the MTV Video Music Awards, where his new look drummed up some thirst among viewers.
Before showing off her barber skills on “The Tonight Show,” Cyrus sat down to discuss her upcoming New Years’ Eve special, which she’s cohosting with her godmother, Dolly Parton. She revealed several musical guests who’ll be joining in on the celebration, including Latto, Sia, and Rae Sremmurd, and teased that she’ll be announcing more performers as the concert approaches.
