Miley Cyrus has touched on her old life with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth in a new chat with fans.
The singer, 30, spoke about the Malibu home they once shared, that was destroyed in the devastating Woolsey fires back in 2018.
Cyrus said in a new TikTok video that there was “a lot of magic” in the home she wrote a lot of her old music.

“The Meet Miley Cyrus record was really where I started writing my own songs as a solo artist,” she said.
“I was working with a producer in Malibu that lived in a house in Ramirez Canyon, which I would have never known 15 years later I would be living in that house, which would eventually burn down.”
She added: “So that had so much magic to it that ended up really changing my life.”

Cyrus and Hemsworth’s $2.5million Malibu house was destroyed by the fires in 2018. Three people died in the fires in the area at the time.
The pair both posted about the devastation at the time and of their burned down house, with only a ‘love’ sign surviving.
“It’s been a heartbreaking few days. This is what’s left of my house. Love. Many people in Malibu and surrounding areas in California have lost their homes also and my heart goes out to everyone who was affected by these fires,” Hemsworth tweeted at the time.
Cyrus added: “Completely devestated [sic] by the fires affecting my community. I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that’s all that matters right now. My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong.””
Cyrus later called Hemsworth her “survival partner” and they tied the knot in December that year at their home in Tennessee after ten years together, with family including the Hemsworths in attendance.
However, the magic was not to last.
Liam filed for divorce back in August 2019, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
The pair reportedly finalised their divorce in January 2020.
He is now dating Australian model Gabriella Brooks and is based back in Byron Bay with his brothers Chris and Luke nearby, while Miley has had a string of high-profile romances with the likes of Cody Simpson and Brody Jenner’s ex Kaitlynn Carter.
She is now dating Lilly drummer Maxx Morando.
