The burger will be leaving the main menu from February 6, just over a month since it returned.
Made up of two beef patties, a slice of cheddar cheese, crispy and raw onions and lettuce before being topped with a creamy peppercorn sauce in a toasted bun – the Steakhouse Stack burger was a much-loved addition.
Fans have been begging for it to return since it was launched in March 2023 to a very happy and hungry audience.
Several foodies said the burger was the best McDonald’s has ever had.
One wrote: “This is one of the best burgers I have ever tasted, had a really nice kick to it too and peppercorn sauce is my fave – would definitely recommend it.”
Another declared: “Definitely the nicest burger from McDonald’s ever.
“Serious combination of flavours. Love it.”
As a final happy customer heaped on the praise saying: “Whoever Ronald McDonald employed to invent the steakhouse stack deserves the world.”
But after hearing the sad news of its departure next week, one said: “Steakhouse stack is probably the best burger you have ever released, the patties taste better, even without the peppercorn sauce it is by far the best tasting.
“But like everything good you take it away and leave the bland old menu the same.”
It’s not just the burger that fans will be saying goodbye next week.
The Fajita Chicken wrap, which was first introduced to menus in January 2020, is also being axed alongside the tasty Cheesy Garlic Bites.
Also leaving are the Cadbury Dairy Milk McFlurry and the Cadbury Caramel McFlurry.
What’s being added to the McDonald’s menu?
It’s not all bad news though because there will also be an whole new range coming to McDonald’s stores from February 7.
Among the new items are a pair of scrumptious deserts in the KitKat Ruby Chocolate McFlurry and Raspberry and White Chocolate Pie.
The KitKat Ruby Chocolate McFlurry mixes soft ice cream with Ruby Chocolate-covered KitKat pieces and wafer bites, it’s then topped with a pink raspberry sauce.
The pie is a crispy pink pastry filled with a smooth white chocolate ganache and raspberry compote.
And the classic KitKat Milk Chocolate McFlurry is making its return.
Replacing the Steakhouse Stack is the Big Tasty and the Big Tasty with bacon.
Each time the burgers make a comeback, they’re a huge hit, with many begging for them to be a permanent menu item.
They are made up of a beef patty, melty cheese made with Emmental, tomato, lettuce, onions and iconic Big Tasty sauce.
For those of you looking to upgrade your dinner, you can also bag the burger with bacon too.
Also back are Mozzarella Dippers, which come in a pack of three or as a sharebox of nine, are each coated in breadcrumbs and served with salsa dip.
And for those who are up early enough, the Breakfast Wrap is also hitting menus again next week.
The fast food giant exclusively revealed to The Sun that the beloved item will once again grace its morning offering.
