MCDONALD’S is slashing the price on two popular items on their menu but fans can’t hang about if they want to grab a bargain.

But the discount will only last one day, December 18.
The 24-hour deal covers the Sausage and Egg McMuffin, Bacon and Egg McMuffin and Egg and Cheese McMuffin, which typically cost between £3.19 and £3.59.
Then from 11am, when the breakfast menu ends, the Big Mac will be available at the rock-bottom price – making a tasty saving of £3.50.
Both deals are only available through the McDonald’s app.
Customers will be able to earn points when they purchase one of these deals by opting into MyMcDonald’s Rewards.
The scheme means every penny spent equals one Rewards point, so this week’s offers will get you 119 points when grabbing a Single McMuffin and 149 points when picking up a Big Mac.
The loyalty scheme allows customers to access rewards when they hit certain milestones on the app.
If they earn 1,500 points they can choose between free menu items including: small fries, a Hash Brown, a regular cold soft drink or a side salad.
When they reach 2,500 points, a Double Cheeseburger, Vegetable Deluxe or apple pie becomes available.
At 4,000 points, customers can choose between menu favourites like six Chicken McNuggets, a Big Mac or Filet-O-Fish.
And if they hit the 5,500 points milestone, customers can choose from a Mighty McMuffin, a McSpicy, a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese or a McCrispy.
Customers also have the option to donate the cash equivalent of their points to BBC Children in Need, FareShare and Ronald McDonald House charities.
McDonald’s currently operates just over 1,300 restaurants across the UK and Ireland.
