MCDONALD’S fans are calling on the fast food chain to make an item permanent, with it set to leave menus in hours.
The home of the Big Mac is dropping its double chocolate pie from its UK offering from today.

The pudding was introduced as a temporary item in June and has since become a fan favourite.
The sweet treat combines a chocolate crust, stuffed with chocolate sauce and is a twist on the classic apple pie.
Some restaurants stopped stocking the pie in August, but it officially comes off menus today.
And fans have been out in force calling for it to be made a permanent addition.
One person said: “I am gutted the double chocolate pie has been removed from menus.
“Why did it have to be limited edition!? It’s too good not to be constant in the UK!”
Meanwhile, a second fuming fan said: “McDonald’s got rid of the limited chocolate pie. I’m so sad it was so good.”
A third added: “Utterly criminal that McDonald’s has stopped selling the chocolate pie.”
The chocolate pie is just one of a number of items coming off menus permanently today, including the Caesar and Bacon wrap and Mozzarella Bites.
Three other temporary additions were axed last month, including the popular Biscoff McFlurry and Spicy Sriracha Wrap.
Reporter Sophie King got to try the McFlurry before customers had a chance.
It comes as McDonald’s announced it is adding a fresh batch of items to menus from tomorrow.
The fast food chain is adding six items to menus, including two Cadbury Flake McFlurrys and Mozzarella Dippers.
But the new additions are only on menus until October 17 so you’ll have to be quick. The full list of new items is here:

To make way for the new additions, seven items are also being removed from the menu from Wednesday, including the McCrispy Deluxe and Galaxy Salted Caramel McFlurry.

How to save money at McDonald’s
There’s a few nifty tricks you can use to save money at Maccie’s.
First, it’s worth downloading the My McDonald’s app feature on to your phone.
Once you’ve signed up, and added your date of birth, you get a free food or drink item on the special day.
Meanwhile, you can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £1.99 – you just have to fill out a quick feedback survey after your last visit.
A 12-digit code will have been printed on your receipt which you enter at the Food for Thought website.
You’ll then need to fill in a quick survey regarding your recent trip and should receive a five digit code which is your voucher for the £1.99 offer.
Third, try making your own Big Mac and you can bag some decent savings.
Jordon Cox, dubbed Britain’s Coupon Kid, previously told The Sun to order a Double Cheeseburger and add in the items you get in a Big Mac, which includes onions, pickles and shredded lettuce.
McDonald’s won’t let you buy Big Mac sauce to pop inside, Jordon says, but if you add ketchup and mustard, you’ll create a sauce that tastes similar – and you’ll save yourself some cash in the process.
