Masterchef: The Professionals in ‘favouritism’ row as fans say it’s obvious who will win on Sunday

MASTERCHEF: The Professionals reckon they’ve figured out who is likely to win.

Viewers tonight insisted there’s just one chef Marcus Wareing wants to see triumphing – Charlie Jeffreys.

Masterchef: The Professionals viewers said Marcus Wareing had a favourite chef

He was a huge fan of Charlie’s cauliflower and chicken dish tonight

Thursday night’s show saw him serving up a cauliflower stuffed with chicken mousse, to great acclaim.

Marcus said: “I thought the dish was brave, inventive and it was full of complexity.”

He added: “This type of dish could split the audience. It is a little bit different but I like it, I think the sauce is delicious.”

One viewer wrote: “Anyone else get the feeling Marcus has already decided who he wants to win? He’s so much more effusive about Charlie.”

Another tweeted: “I know Marcus really likes Charlie and will probably employ him.”

A third added: “Marcus has definately got his favourite aint he, im mentioning no names. Charlie.”

One other predicted he would make it to the final, saying: “Marcus just cannot hide his favouritism you just know who is in the final three.”

In the end, that prediction was absolutely correct. Nikita was singled out for praise by Gregg Wallace, while James got knocked out of the competition.

That left just three chefs contesting the final, which will be shown on BBC One on Sunday night.
