MASON Greenwood is expected to be reinstated at Man Utd as early as next week.
The striker, 21, was suspended by the Premier League club in January 2022 and has not kicked a ball for them since his arrest.
Greenwood was later charged with attempted rape, assault and controlling and coercive behaviour, before the charges were dropped in February by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).
Now, after 18-months on the sideline, club bosses are ready to hand him a second chance at Old Trafford.
A final decision will be made over the next 48 hours by United’s chief executive Richard Arnold – with a decision set to be made as early as Tuesday.
