BRITAIN’S disqualified driver hotspots have been revealed, with over 140,000 motorists banned from the roads.
Analysis of DVLA data by experts at Dayinsure found that the number of bans handed out has increased by 3% since 2021.

As of the latest figures, one in every 431 drivers across the nation are not legally able to hold a licence – amounting to almost 0.25%.
A ban is automatically enforced if you accumulate more than 12 penalty points on your licence but they can also be handed out instantly as punishment for certain driving offences.
In the latter case, the length of the ban will be decided by the court based on the severity of the crime, but in the former, it is between six months and two years.
Factors including the length of time it took to rack up that many points and any previous bans will also be taken into account.
The study found that Bradford, West Yorkshire, saw the highest proportion of drivers subject to some form of ban.
One in every 191 motorists in the city have had their licence revoked.
That’s well ahead of second-place Liverpool, which returned a rating of one in every 204.
Teesside then rounded out the top three with one in 231.
One interesting quirk in the data is that four of the top five were areas in the North of England.
The trend was only broken by Newport, Wales, in fourth with a score of one in every 237 drivers.
And Liverpool was the only location on the list that would usually be considered a major city, with urban hubs like London, Birmingham, Cardiff and Edinburgh all avoiding the top five.
However, both the UK’s capital and second city did rank highly in terms of the raw numbers rather than per-head stats.
London saw a total of 7,995 drivers banned, compared to over 4,000 in Birmingham.
But this was balanced out in the table by their large populations.
Nichols Shaw, Director of Operations at Dayinsure, said: “While the vast majority of UK motorists comply with the law, it is still alarming to see that so many motorists have been disqualified from driving due to dangerous and careless driving.
“The data highlights how vital it is for motorists to take extra care and attention when driving, as you never know what other road users might be doing – you sadly cannot just assume that others will drive as carefully as you would.
“Our final piece of advice would be to ensure that you are fully insured in case worse comes to worse and you are involved in an accident.”
