And United are prepared to pay his £9million release clause, according to Croatian outlet Sportske.

Current No1 David De Gea is out contract at the end of the season.

While the Spaniard is believed to have agreed a new deal on reduced terms, the Red Devils are claimed to be keen on Livakovic.

However, there is also reported interest in Livakovic from Spanish sides Villarreal and Real Sociedad, plus Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Livakovic is out of contract at Dinamo Zagreb at the end of next season and is yet to agree to new terms.

Sportske claim the Croatian club are yet to stump up the reported £20,000-a-week Livakovic has asked for.

In December, it was reported that United passed on the chance to sign Livakovic last summer.

He was also said to be on the radar of both Leicester and Nottingham Forest.
