Man Utd outcast Facundo Pellistri ‘at centre of six-way transfer battle’ after collapse of loan move

FACUNDO PELLISTRI is reportedly in the middle of a six-way transfer battle.

The Manchester United winger was expected to join Grenada on loan but a move has stalled.

The LaLiga side are only willing to pay a small percentage of the Urugayan’s wages putting the deal at risk.

The Daily Mail have reported that Pellistri, 22, will still have plenty of options should he move elsewhere.

The report claims that there are SIX clubs keen on loaning the winger this month.

PSV Eindhoven are named as one side while Roma have also shown a “tentative interest”.

There are also said to be several other LaLiga clubs that could be potential destinations.

One Spanish side is believed to be Villarreal, with SunSport exclusively revealing last month that the Spaniards were keen on signing Pellistri on a permanent deal.

While Sevilla and Sir Jim Ratcliffe‘s Nice have also been rumoured to be potential destinations.

Pellistri has already had two loan spells in LaLiga, both with Alaves.

Pellistri has been a fringe player at Old Trafford this season having only made nine appearances in the Premier League.

The attacker did manage one assist but with the return of Amad Diallo, his game time has become even more limited.

And Old Trafford boss Erik ten Hag said two months ago: “For Pelli he has to make a step from a bench player, often having a very good impact, to a starting XI player.

“We will see how quick that process will go.”

United had high hopes for him after he arrived from his home country for around £9million in 2020.
