Man Utd fans beg former stars to return and save their season despite combined age of 86 as they reunite for match

MANCHESTER UNITED fans have begged the club to resign two former stars to help save their season.

Premier League winners Antonio Valencia and Juan Sebastian Veron were pictured together at a Legends tournament last week.

Valencia, 38, shared a photo alongside the ex-midfielder with the caption: “I met this great player and great person.”

Veron, 48, responded: “Crack Antonio, good to see you well.”

Reacting to the post, Red Devils fans were desperate to see the pair come back to the team and help turn their stuttering season around.

Such an argument has been boosted considering Jonny Evans return to the club, having since become an important player for Erik ten Hag during the club’s defensive crisis this season.

One fan said: “New signatures incoming midfield General and a qualityyyyy winger the fans we say hello yeahhhh lmao (wishing).”

A second said: “Wasn’t sure about Jonny Evans but now we’re talking.”

A third said: “He’d still do a solid job for us at RW you know…”

Another said: “Veron could play a role now…..”

During the legends competition, Valencia was once again wearing the No.25 shirt, something he said was “a great pleasure” on his Instagram.

Valencia made 339 appearances for Man Utd, scoring 25 goals and adding 62 assists in a career which saw him move from right winger to right-back.

Veron meanwhilemade 82 appearances under Sir Alex Ferguson, scoring 11 goals and adding 15 assists.

Man Utd’s next game is against Everton next Sunday.
