Man Utd desperate to ship out keeper after loan spell last season with Andre Onana transfer closing in

MANCHESTER UNITED are hoping Czech side Sparta Prague will buy keeper Matej Kovar.

The Red Devils keeper, 23, did well on loan for top-flight winners Sparta as they earned a shot at the Champions League.

United think Sparta may be tempted to sign Kovar permanently with their cash windfall.

However, Nathan Bishop may be blocked from leaving Old Trafford because of a lack of cover in goal.

Bishop, 23, is wanted by a handful of clubs but is under lock and key with a year left on his contract.

United will not consider a deal until they have signed reinforcements.

But that may not take long as Inter Milan star Andre Onana, who played under Erik ten Hag at Ajax, is closing in on a move to Old Trafford.

Onana has agreed personal terms with United, while reports suggest Inter are set to accept the club’s third bid worth €50million (£43m) plus add-ons.

Kovar joined the Manchester giants’ youth ranks from Slovacko in 2018 when he was 18 years old.

The goalkeeper was sent out on loan to Swindon, Burton and of course Sparta.
