ALEXIS SANCHEZ is reportedly on the verge of a shock return to Barcelona.
The 34-year-old Chilean forward racked up 63 goals in 154 top-flight matches for both Arsenal and Manchester United.

His best spell in England undoubtedly came with the Gunners, where he won the FA Cup twice after joining from Barcelona in 2014.
But after his miserable spell at Old Trafford from January 2018, Sanchez was loaned to Inter in 2019-20 before joining the Serie A giants permanently.
Two years later, he signed for Marseille and scored 14 goals in 35 Ligue 1 games last season.
However, after only penning a one-year deal, he is now a free agent.
We reported previously how Nottingham Forest were linked with a surprise swoop to bring him back to the Premier League.
Now a fresh update has claimed that he looks set to rejoin Barcelona instead.
Journalist Jose Tomas Fernandez Pumarino says Sanchez’s representatives and Barca chiefs are meeting today to discuss the feasibility of the move.
The LaLiga club are looking to replace Ousmane Dembele, who is joining Paris Saint-Germain.

And Sanchez is favoured by Barcelona due to the fact that he has already played there and he knows boss Xavi already having previously been team-mates at the Nou Camp.
The South American previously played at Barcelona between 2011 and 2014 after arriving from Udinese in Italy.
He scored 39 goals in 88 top-flight matches and won both the LaLIga title and Copa del Rey during his time there.
The star also collected winners’ medals in both the Uefa and Spanish Super Cups as well as helping Barca become the 2011 Fifa Club World Cup champions.
Sanchez starred at Arsenal after arriving from Barcelona but struggled to live up to his mammoth £505,000-a-week wages at United.
Incredibly, the Red Devils paid the 155-cap international a staggering £20million per Premier League goal and £28,800 per touch.
After his stint at Inter, Sanchez enjoyed a fruitful campaign with Marseille but he was not handed a contract extension.
Marseille brought in another big-money former Premier League man in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this summer and therefore decided against keeping Sanchez.
