A MAN has revealed the drastic method he used to save money on his flights, but not many people agree that it’s worth it.
With prices for flights on the rise, people are trying everything they can to make savings wherever they can.

However, some drew the line when they saw how far Bailey Turvey went to keep costs down on his recent trip to South America.
The Tiktoker’s (@baileyturvey) journey to Guatemala took more than 50 hours, including layovers, with stops in Barcelona and Boston along the way.
Bailey claims it cost him just £152, instead of the £600 he would’ve had to spend on the more direct flight.
In a video, he revealed how he was eventually able to reach his destination.
He said: “I took a 50 hours flight to the other side of the world because I’m a cheap skate and didn’t want to pay over £600 to get there. And this is how it went.
“My first flight was only two hours from London Gatwick to Barcelona, and we got these incredible views of what I think were the Pyrenees.
“I then had a three hour stop over in Barcelona airport.”
After Barcelona, it was an overnight stay in Boston, in America, before a domestic flight to New York.
From there, Bailey made the final leg of his journey.
He continued: “It was then time to head on an eight hour flight to Boston. I booked a budget airline, Level, and I was pleasantly surprised to find they offered TVs and free snacks.
“I then arrived in Boston, where I had a 30 hour layover.
“The next day, it was time to head on a quick 45 minute flight from Boston to JFK in New York, I only had 30minutes from JFK to catch my connecting flight.
“But I made it and took my final five hour flight to Guatemala, where I lucked out and got a whole row to myself.
“And now, 52 hours later, I’ve arrived in the beautiful town of Antigua, and I am very, very exhausted.”
Bailey’s exhausting journey has been viewed by more than 360,000 people, but most weren’t willing to follow his example.
One wrote: “I’d definitely rather take the shortest flight with less stops.”
Another said: “It pays for convenience and comfort sometimes. Haha but kudos, you survived this!”
A third added: “My back and legs say no.”
However, there were those who were more than willing to replicate the journey.
One said: “I love airports and flying so this is actually ideal for me.”
For those not interested in taking a 50-hour journey, there are other ways to save money when booking online.
One Tiktok user Yan, or kingcredit, showed the simple methods he uses to cut costs when booking flights online.
Yan claims that flights between Tuesday at 12am until Wednesday at 11pm are often cheaper.
He also says that it’s best to avoid flying from Thursday 12am until Saturday 12pm, when prices tend to go up.
Yan’s second tip is to use incognito mode when booking flights, to keep prices down.
He says that airlines “auto-increase” their prices if they see you repeatedly searching for tickets to the same destination.
Therefore, by using incognito mode, the airline’s websites will not be able to store any of your information and react to your search.
Meanwhile, this holidaymaker revealed how she saves enough money to go away seven times a year.
Brits have been warned that a new law could send flight prices in Spain soaring.
