Marca report that City want to sign Achraf Hakimi from Paris Saint-Germain to replace Walker.

The report adds that the club will not hesitate to do a deal if the England international leaves the club.

Walker has been strongly linked with a move amid interest from both Aston Villa and Sheffield United.

However, he appears to be closing in on a move to Bayern Munich following “intensive talks” with the German giants.

That exit would see City move forward with their pursuit of Hakimi, who wants to leave PSG, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Rival fans are not keen on the transfer, though, as they fear Guardiola’s side could be set to get even stronger before the start of the season.

One fan tweeted: “This is FIFA gameplay in real life.”

Another added: “They’re gonna win everything again.”

A third supporter also wrote: “If this goes through, how are we gonna stop Man City?”

Meanwhile, one more commented: “What is going on man? Man City can’t get Hakimi as well.”

Hakimi made 39 appearances for PSG last term, scoring five goals and providing six assists from right-back.

The right-back can also play as a wide midfielder as well as down the left flank.
