It had been pulled from sale after an impressive 20 years and drivers were shocked to see it go.

However a U-turn could be on the table, according to Best Car – who claim profit made by the CV-60 and CX-80 in Europe has sparked interest in reinstating the popular model.

Previously a Mazda spokesperson admitted: “Declining UK sales in the saloon and estate car sector, mean we have ended sales of the Mazda 6 in the UK.

“However, the Mazda 6 will continue to be sold in some European markets.”

But, now that sales are rising in Europe, as well as increasing popularity of the bulkier CX-70 and CX-90 cars in North America, Mazda could bring back the mid-size sedan.

This comes as the world famous car brand discontinued its top of the range electric vehicle following negative customer reviews.

Mazda pulled the plug on its MX-30 model in the US just two years after its fully electric vehicle went into production.

Critics at Top Gear blasted the SUV as being a “weird little crossover” and an “underperformer”.

While Auto Express was not quite so harsh, describing it as a “stylish and unorthodox choice”.

Meanwhile, if you’re looking to buy a new motor, an expert has revealed the nine dreaded words which should make you run a mile.

Plus, one whizz revealed the “big red flag” to avoid when buying a new car, or it could end up costing you THOUSANDS.
