LYCAMOBILE is making a huge change for thousands of its customers.
The operator has confirmed that its entire UK customer base will be switched over from O2’s network, which Lycamobile runs off, to EE.

The change means that Lycamobile users will now have access to EE’s 4G and 5G networks.
The switch has already started, and the operator says it expects to be completed in the next 24 hours.
Lycamobile said all of its customers were told by email and text message about the switch.
But some have claimed that they weren’t contacted about the switch, and had lost service completely as a result.
Writing on Twitter, one customer said: “I’ve had no service for three days, unable to make/receive calls and no data. I received message from you that there was be disruption, but no service at all???
Another fumed: “Since your work on your network upgrade today I’ve been unable to get any signal at all at my house in Chacewater, Cornwall. I hope this isn’t permanent.”
While a third wrote: “I’ve had no service for over 7hrs and counting. Missed an important job-related call as a result. It’s really sad. Do better.”
Lycamobile confirmed that a few hundred customers had issues following the switch.
A spokesperson for the operator said: “The vast majority of our customers will now be receiving faster data speeds and improved services since our switch – which is something we’re already seeing via customer feedback.”

This way, you have a better chance of being the first customer through on the phone, and the rep won’t have worked tirelessly through previous calls which may have affected their stress levels.
It pays to be polite when getting through to someone on the phone, as representatives are less inclined to help rude or aggressive customers.
Knowing what other offers are on the market can help you to make a case for yourself to your provider.
If your provider won’t haggle, you can always threaten to leave.
Companies don’t want to lose customers and may come up with a last-minute offer to keep you.
It’s also worth investigating social tariffs. These deals have been created for people who are receiving certain benefits.
Both EE and Voxi offer social mobile tariffs costing between £10 and £12 a month for those on certain benefits including Universal Credit.
