Luxury Ferrari that has done just one mile a year goes on sale for eye-watering price

A LUXURY Ferrari that has done just one mile a year since it was produced has gone up for a sale at an eye-watering price.

The white LaFerrari model has nearly quadrupled in value since its release just under a decade ago.

Built in 2016, this particular motor has just seven miles on the clock and is in pristine condition.

With a top speed of 214mph and a silky smooth ride quality, it’s astonishing that the owner hasn’t used it more.

Not only has it preserved the car perfectly, it also means that it can be qualified as new for VAT purposes “in certain jurisdictions”, according to the listing.

However, despite that potential saving, it’s far from a bargain, with a whopping £4.1 million price tag.

That amounts to a stunning increase in value since the model was first launched 2013, when it still sold for a cool £1.1 million from new.

The LaFerrari is a mild hybrid, meaning it relies on a smaller electric motor to make its 950 horsepower V12 more efficient.

The model was Ferrari’s first ever hybrid and used technology derived from Formula One.

It is the same model as the supercars previously driven by the rapper Drake and football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo over the years.

This example is set to go under the hammer in Paris at an RM Sotheby’s sale on January 31.

A spokesperson for the auctioneers said: “RM Sotheby’s is delighted to return to an incredible location in the ‘Golden Triangle’ of Paris for its upcoming French auction to be held at the beginning of 2024 on 31 January.

“Early blue-chip consignments continue to reinforce RM Sotheby’s reputation as the leading collector car auction house in the world.

“The Ultimate Performance Collection boasts a trio of some of the finest modern hypercars in existence, led by a 2016 Ferrari LaFerrari.

“With a barely believable 11 kilometres on the odometer, this example is presented in factory-fresh condition.”

The LaFerrari has quite the auction pedigree, too, with one going for £7.9 million at a 2017 charity auction, a 21st Century record at the time.

It comes after an incredible collection of vintage Aston Martin racecars went up for sale earlier this week.

Meanwhile, a Porsche supercar previously owned by a motorsport star raked in a six-figure sum.
