Luis Suarez on verge of Inter Miami transfer with Barcelona legend set to reunite with Lionel Messi under David Beckham

LUIS SUAREZ is set for a stunning reunion with Lionel Messi at Inter Miami, reports suggest.

Messi has been at Inter Miami since leaving Paris Saint-Germain, where he has already enjoyed cup-winning success.

But after already convincing club chiefs to bring Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba with him to the club, the fourth musketeer is set to be added with Suarez.

Fabrizio Romano reports a deal between Suarez and Inter is set to be sealed and announced.

He adds that a verbal agreement on a one-year deal was reached between the two parties last month.

The deal will also reportedly include an option for a further year.

Messi and co will not be in action again until the February, when the Major League Soccer season kicks off.

The 38-year-old led the David Beckham-owned outfit to its first-ever trophy with the Leagues Cup, scoring ten goals in seven games.

But having joined only halfway through the regular season, the club failed to make the play-offs.

The addition of a fourth ex-Barcelona player gives hope they will go and qualify for the play-offs.

Former Liverpool ace Suarez left Barcelona in 2020 to join Atletico Madrid, where he proceeded to win La Liga.

He then left Spain in 2022 and headed back to South America, where he joined Nacional and later Gremio.

However, his contract with the club expires on January 1, leaving the 36-year-old free to sign for other clubs.

While playing at Barcelona together Suarez and Messi won four La Liga titles, the Champions League and the Club World Cup – which Man City are in the final of later today.
