‘Love you forever’: Taylor Swift’s heartwarming message to Australia after leaving the country

Across seven spellbinding shows, Taylor Swift had the whole country in a trance, and it seems the singer will likewise “never forget” the Eras Tour (Australia’s Version).

Now that she has officially left the country and jetted to Singapore to continue her tour, Swift, 34, has said farewell to Aussie fans with a sweet social media shoutout.

“Sydney, Sydney, Sydney, Sydney… what a whirlwind of endless magical moments with you,” the Cruel Summer singer wrote to Instagram alongside sepia pics from her shows.

“I’m so grateful that we got to be the first tour to play Accor Stadium 4 times,” she said, after playing to sold out Sydney crowds from Friday 23 to Monday 26.

Prior to her Aussie performances, Accor Stadium revealed Swift would become the first artist to perform at the venue in a single tour.

“I’ll never forget singing with Sabrina, the chaotic acoustic mashups, and the crowds that were louder (singing AND screaming) than I thought humanly possible,” she continued.

“I want to thank all of the Aussie fans for being so positive and passionate, so funny and wild and FUN. Love you forever 🤍” she signed off with a heart emoji.

Swift’s memorable trip to Australia saw everything from star-studded shows, a surprise appearance from her boyfriend Travis Kelce, trips to the zoo, and hundreds of thousands of fans embracing the friendship bracelet craze.

On the first night of her Sydney tour, Swift’s support act Sabrina Carpenter‘s set had to sadly be cancelled due to the weather delays.

In lieu of Sydney fans missing out on Carpenter’s performance, Swift treated the crowd to a surprise duet with the 24-year-old mid-show.

During the ‘surprise song’ acoustic set of the show, the August singer brought out Carpenter to perform a mashup duet on the piano of White Horse and Coney Island.

“9 year old Sabrina singing white horse would never see this s–t coming!” Carpenter wrote to Instagram after the show, referring to when she first covered Swift’s Fearless track White Horse as a nine-year-old.

“I love you so so so dearly taylor. always have always will,” she added, also thanking Sydney fans for “making me feel so welcome.”

Swift made history on her Australian tour by performing many “chaotic” mashups of her songs in the surprise song segment.

In Sydney alone, Swift sang mashups of her songs Haunted and Exile, Forever & Always and Maroon, and Should’ve Said No and You’re Not Sorry, amongst others.
