Dozens of fans have been seriously hurt after ‘golfball-sized’ hailstones rained down on Louis Tomlinson concert-goers overnight and some fans have even claimed security would not let them take cover.
It is reported that seven people required hospitalisation following the hailstone barrage.
Former One Direction member, Louis Tomlinson has been on a US tour with last night’s show being held at an amphitheatre in Red Rock, Colorado.

Tomlinson, 31, hadn’t even taken the stage when the weather turned and massive hailstones began pelting fans in the crowd.
Since then, the former boyband member has taken to Twitter to share a heartfelt statement to injured and disappointed fans:
However, fans are now claiming that local authorities and the event’s security made it near-impossible for some of them to seek shelter amid the hailstorm.

Fans have since taken to social media to show the extent of their horrific injuries.
“Thank you so much to the concessions workers at red rocks for not letting us take shelter because we couldn’t get to our cars and instead recorded us and laughed at us while I was sobbing having a panic attack,” one fan wrote alongside a picture of her swollen and bruised skin.
A mum who had endured a similar fate replied to the fan’s tweet, writing:

“I’m so sorry. We endured nearly a similar incident. I begged a vendor to cover my daughter, but he just kept recording and laughing. This is my teen. More wounds are starting to appear. I have them all over myself too.
The mum’s tweet was also accompanied by a picture of her back, which was covered in sores, welts and bruises.
According to West Metro Fire Rescue, seven people have been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries whilst another 80 to 90 fans were treated onsite.
