Having a famous relative is a dream for many, but not for Lottie Moss.
Although she and renowned supermodel Kate Moss share the same father – former travel agent Peter Moss – the sisters never really developed a relationship.
“We just never really spoke honestly. It’s always been that way, I never was sad about it really,” the 25-year-old confessed while appearing on The Matt Haycox Show Podcast.
“You know obviously it’s not great to hear that someone doesn’t really care for a relationship with you… but you know we we’d see each other at Christmases and things like that and play family a little bit.”

At 25-years-old, Lottie is half the age of 49-year-old Kate and the duo grew up estranged from each other.
“I never grew up with them, it was always just me in the house,” Lottie explained of her childhood, making reference to her sister but also her brother Nick Moss.

Addressing her connection to Kate, the Celebs Go Dating star said: “I’d never really known her so it wasn’t like I was losing someone.”
“It was never really like she chose to leave, she’s 20 years older than me she’s got every right to live her own life, she doesn’t need to hang around with me,” she added.

When asked about the media attention she receives in relation to having a famous sister, Lottie explained that the narrative was positive at the beginning but slowly shifted over time.
“Now the narrative has changed quite a lot to that she’s embarrassed of me and all of these things,” she says.
“I know what the reality is, so I don’t think it really matters what everyone else thinks.”
Kate Moss’s parents divorced in 1987 when the model was 13 years old. Her dad later remarried Scandinavian beauty Inger Solnordal, and the pair welcomed Lottie in 1998.
