The officer gave the bizarre advice to locals during a parish council meeting.

The PC said it was best to leave the road hazards unfilled — describing them as “natural traffic calming”.
One villager blasted: “It was an unbelievable thing to say.
“The official police advice apparently is that potholes are a good thing.
“We were also advised to park our cars to form a chicane like on race tracks to reduce speeds.”
The local said the main street in Pentlow, Essex, has a series of dangerous craters.
They added: “Leaving them could cause drivers to swerve suddenly, which could cause an accident.”
Parish councillor Melanie Davies said: “Potholes do not make people slow down and can cause damage.
“Some are so bad they do need filling.”
Essex Police were unable to say if leaving potholes was a force-wide policy.
A spokeswoman said: “We have been unable to establish which officer attended this meeting.”
