Lloyds Banking Group to close 45 branches early next year in ‘shift away from high street’ – see if you’re affected

LLOYDS is closing another 45 of its branches as it makes a move away from high street banking.

The banking group confirmed 22 Halifax branches, 19 Lloyds branches and four under Bank of Scotland will be shut down.

It comes just one week after Natwest confirmed it was planning to axe another 19 branches.

The latest closures mean 623 branches have been shut so far this year as banks look to move away from the high street.

Data from the UK’s largest cash machine network, LINK, keeps track of any planned branch closures across the UK.
