It comes as he is beginning to make a name for himself at the Etihad.

His moment of the match came in the 24th minute when he cut inside and rifled a left-footed strike into the bottom corner.

He also registered an assist for Jorgen Strand Larsen’s opener.

Bobb now has three appearances for his country having made his debut last month.

And Man City supporters were quick to claim he will be their next sensation after his goal for Norway – with one claiming he has already surpassed Cole Palmer, who joined Chelsea in a £42.5million deal in the summer.

One said: “Not even exaggerating but he is better than Palmer.”

Another added: “Lovely watching Oscar Bobb cooking .”

While a third replied: “He’s gonna be nuts when we sell him for 35 mil.”

Bobb, who saw team-mate Erling Haaland come off the bench in Norway’s victory, has featured seven times for Man City so far this season.

He contributed an assist in the champions’ 6-1 win over Bournemouth earlier this month.

Speaking about the young star after his side’s 3-1 win over Red Star Belgrade in September, manager Pep Guardiola said: “He is dynamic, he has a good shot, he has courage.

“He lost two balls, he has to improve to not do it in the final third but sometimes, it happens.

“But see his personality, he’s not shy. Incredible work ethic, so aggressive without the ball.”
