Linda Evangelista admits she still gets Botox after CoolSculpting incident

Linda Evangelista is being open and honest about her approach to ageing.

“I Botox my forehead so I am a hypocrite — but I want to grow old,” she shared in Vogue‘s September issue.

In a recent interview with Vogue, the supermodel shared that she “never did mind aging” because getting older “gets us to where we want to be, and that’s for me a long life”.

These comments come six years after Evangelista was “brutally disfigured” by a CoolSculpting accident – a procedure promoted as a noninvasive alternative to liposuction.

“It increased, not decreased, my fat cells and left me permanently deformed even after undergoing two painful, unsuccessful, corrective surgeries,” she revealed in 2021.

She was later diagnosed by a doctor with Paradoxical adipose hyperplasia (PAH) – a risk she alleges she was not warned about before having the procedure. After the accident, she chose to live in seclusion for years.

In 2021, Evangelista filed a $US50 million (approx. $76 million) case against CoolSculpting’s parent company, Zeltiq Aesthetics Inc.

“I loved being up on the catwalk. Now I dread running into someone I know,” she told PEOPLE in 2022. “I can’t live like this anymore, in hiding and shame. I just couldn’t live in this pain any longer. I’m willing to finally speak.”

The star made her comeback last year, though she vowed no one would ever see her in a bikini again.

”If I had known side effects may include losing your livelihood and you’ll end up so depressed that you hate yourself, I wouldn’t have taken that risk,” she told Vogue last year.

“It was about stubborn fat in areas that wouldn’t budge,” she explained. “It said no downtime, no surgery. I drank the magic potion, and I would because I’m a little vain. So I went for it – and it backfired.”
