Lidl shoppers rave about chocolate spread ‘that’s JUST like Kinder Bueno’ – and it’s chef approved

SHOPPERS are thrilled to have discovered a spread at their local Lidl stores that tastes “like the inside of a Kinder Bueno”.

The product is being sold by the supermarket chain for a limited time only – amid a week-long celebration of Italian flavours.

Chef and cookery instructor Anthony O’Shaughnessy shared a picture of the hazelnut milk creme spread, called “Crema spalmabile al latte e nocciole”, to X on Sunday.

He wrote: “Lidl are having their Italian week and they’re stocking this: hazelnut milk spread. It’s divine. Like the inside of a Kinder Bueno. Stirred it up good with my morning oats.”

Other shoppers shared in his excitement.

One person commented: “Right I’m off to Lidl!!,” to which Anthony replied: “Get me another jar while you’re at it! I’ve ran out!!”

Another person said: “Got some yesterday looks Devine.”

And someone else wrote: “Yesss. Ok I’m grabbing this.”

The 190g jar of spread can only be purchased in store, and costs £1.99.

It comes during Lidl’s “super flavour of the week: Italy“, which started February 29.

Other products being sold under the umbrella of the promotion include dry cured ham, Italian salami, regional Italian cheese, Antico Frantoio extra virgin olive oil, and a selection of quality pastas.

A Facebook user shared a picture of the product to Facebook group Snack Reviews on Friday, the post attracting hundreds of comments.

One person wrote: “I got some today. It’s the inside of a bueno. I’m not sharing.”

Another said: “I had a lot of the stuff yesterday really nice x.”

Lidl shoppers are also going wild over the chain’s new range of pink kitchen appliances, which includes a baby pink toaster for £24.99.

Its release came after the discount supermarket unveiled its popular leopard-print range, comprising a kettle for £24.99, a chopping board, a drinks bottle, and a set of knives.

Lidl also recently launched new sweet-scented candles capable of transporting buyers into bakeries with aromas such as “cinnamon swirls” and almond croissants.

One mum, Kerry, shared news of the range to TikTok and advised other shoppers not to sleep on the products.

”For the babes who love sweet smelling candles… Run to Lidl,” she urged in her video.

Parents are now racing to Lidl for its just-restocked waterproof trousers – a kids’ winter essential that helps little ones warm and dry in wet weather.

In a video, mum Jen said: “These bargain rain/mud suits are back in stock in Lidl.”

She then showed the trousers – which come with braces to ensure they stay up all day long – in colours green, pink polkadot, and navy.

The trousers are £6.99 and range in size from toddler to eight years.

Lidl is also selling rain jackets for £8.99.
