Liam Gallagher breaks silence after video of him ‘s***housing’ young Man Utd fan at FA Cup final goes viral

LIAM GALLAGHER has broken his silence after footage of him “s***housing” a young rival fan at Wembley went viral.

The City-daft former Oasis frontman was in the stands to watch the Premier League champions beat Manchester United 2-1 in the FA Cup Final on Saturday at Wembley.

Ilkay Gundogan fired City ahead after just 12 SECONDS – the fastest-ever goal scored in FA Cup Final history.

The Red Devils were then lucky to avoid going a man down as Casemiro escaped a red card after a stamp on Manuel Akanji.

City were then pegged back when Jack Grealish was harshly judged to have handled in the area, allowing Bruno Fernandes to equalise, before Victor Lindelof was struck by an object thrown by a fan during the goal celebrations.

But Gundogan rifled City back into the lead shortly after the break and it remained 2-1 as they went on to seal the Double.

And in the posh seats, the 50-year-old music icon was spotted mercilessly rubbing salt in the wounds of one young United supporter after City had retaken the lead.

He leant over to the kid in front of him, who was kitted out in United attire, and had his hand on his shoulder before laughing at the child.

Fans were in stitches for his “s***housing” as the clip went viral on Twitter.

However, Gallagher has now explained his antics and said: “The young lad I was apparently antagonising was my mate’s kid who I was consoling.

“He’s a Utd fan. I love and adore him.”

City-superfan Gallagher shot to fame with brother Noel as frontmen for Oasis.

But the band split in 2009 following a bitter falling out between the brothers.

Liam has teased that the pair could finally be ready to reunite for some huge comeback gigs – so long as City complete the Treble by beating Inter Milan in the Champions League final next weekend.

He said: “Oasis will return if Manchester City win the Champions League? A possibility?”

He responded: “I’m ready to go.”

Noel however remains unconvinced, telling The Sun exclusively this week that his brother was “full of s***.”

Meanwhile, Man City’s players would later rock with Elton John on the runway after spotting the music legend at the airport after returning to the North West last night.
