LEGOLAND Windsor has given thrill seekers a sneak peek at a brand new £10million rollercoaster, which will be opening to the public next year.
The Berkshire-based theme park’s latest addition, called Minifigure Speedway, will be its fastest rollercoaster.

Minifigure Speedway will open to the public in spring 2024 – although it’s not been confirmed exactly when this will be.
Legoland Windsor’s latest rollercoaster will be the first Lego duelling coaster in the world.
The duelling coaster will feature two teams, Team Legends and Team Allstars, who will race against each other in both forwards and reverse – with a winner being crowned each time.
Inspired by Speedway Circuits from around the globe, the Minifigure Speedway will be able to reach speeds of up to 56km/h (34mph).
The brand-new rollercoaster will feature state-of-the-art technology as well as a duel-track layout.
Construction work on the £10million rollercoaster is already underway.
Last month, images emerged of construction starting on the ride, which will be built where the former Raft Racers ride was before it closed last year.
The pictures, shared by Attraction Source, showed two work vehicles at the theme park, where the plans said the ride would be built.
Helen Bull, Division Director at the Legoland Windsor Resort, said: “Minifigure Speedway is set to get pulses racing when it opens next Spring and will be the fun seeker’s favourite amongst families.
“Not only will it be the fastest coaster at the Resort once complete, but it will also offer a uniquely exhilarating experience where cars race forwards and in reverse against each other to see who will be named the winner.”
Earlier this year, Legoland Windsor opened another brand-new family-friendly attraction.
Legoland Adventure Golf is a new standalone attraction just outside the Windsor theme park.
Inside the UK-first attraction is a 9-hole golf course, with themed models along the way.
The huge models include a giant octopus with tentacles over 2.5 metres wide, and it’s made of over 150,000 Lego bricks.
There will also be a 1.5-metre-tall ice cream sundae, made of over 65,000 Lego bricks.
Also new this year is the Ferrari Build and Race attraction.
There are three interactive zones – Build and Race, Ferrari LEGO model, and a DUPLO® build zone – and kids can learn about Ferrari’s race history too.
Meanwhile, a brand-new holiday park will also be opening at the Windsor theme park next year.
The new accommodation will open to the public in May 2024 – with overnight stays on sale now.
There will be 130 holiday lodges and 20 camping barrels on the 10-acre site – with prices starting at £295 for a family of four.
While most lodges will have bed space for between two to five guests, 10 premium lodges will be able to sleep up to seven people.
Meanwhile, this was the best theme park in 2023 in the UK.
And this huge new Peppa Pig theme park is opening its doors next year.
