Lauren Brant’s heartbreaking tribute to late sister-in-law three years on: ‘Wish you were still here’

Lauren Brant has paid tribute to her late sister-in-law Sandra Brant, three years on from her death from bowel cancer.

In a moving post, the former Hi-5 star, 35, called Sandra her “chosen sister” and said she wishes she was still here.

“Three years without my chosen sister,” Lauren began.

“I wish more than anything that you were still here. For you, for your children… for your family… for our family,” Lauren said.

“I wish my children could receive your love, your shining smile, your fun and love of life. To think two of them never met you and the other two were so little when we lost you.

“To now be blessed with most beautiful guardian angel but to live in pain that we no longer share this physical life with you.”

She also touched on her grief, writing: “Three years of grief, feels like three days and 300 years all in the same. My beautiful Sandra, gone too soon 4-3-21 🌻🤍.”

Lauren told her fans and followers to keep an eye on their health and to do a bowel cancer screening, writing: “THIS IS YOUR REMINDER TO DO YOUR AT HOME BOWEL CANCER TEST. It could save your life .”

Three years ago, Lauren and partner Barry Hall confirmed they had married in an exclusive interview with A Current Affair.

The pair married so Sandra could attend the wedding. Sandra lost her battle with stage-four bowel cancer shortly after.

“There’s one reason alone why we want to share our story with everyone and that is because cancer is real and it can happen to anyone,” she told A Current Affair.

“We never thought it would happen to our family, we never thought it would happen to Sandra, we never thought it would affect us to the stage of actually losing her and the thing is she could maybe be here with us if she detected it early enough.”

Sandra reportedly died at the age of 41.
