Australia’s Queen of Pop Kylie Minogue is making her way to the Hollywood small screen, announcing that she has been cast in Shonda Rhimes‘ latest show, The Residence.
The new show by Rhimes, who also produced Bridgerton and Grey’s Anatomy, centres around a murder scandal involving service staff of the White House.
The official logline per Variety reads: “132 rooms. 157 suspects. One dead body. One wildly eccentric detective. One disastrous State Dinner. The Residence is a screwball whodunnit set in the upstairs, downstairs, and backstairs of the White House, among the eclectic staff of the world’s most famous mansion.”

This is not the Spinning Around singer’s first foray into acting, of course, with her fellow Aussie natives knowing her roots began with period drama series The Sullivans (1979) and a stint on Neighbours as Charlene Robinson from 1986 to 1988.
And who could forget her iconic cameo as Epponnee-Rae Crag in Kath and Kim in 2004?
The now 54-year-old has kept up the acting portfolio, most recently starring in Aussie productions Back to the Outback (2021) and Swinging Safari (2018).
She also recently appeared as a fictionalised version of herself in a skit for Red Nose Day.
