And club officials are reportedly prepared to offer him a staggering £11.6m-a-week.

That adds up to over £600m-a-year.

Mbappe‘s proposed wage would make him the highest-paid athlete of all time, blowing the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar out of the water.

Ronaldo became the current top earning sports star when he joined Saudi side Al Nassr in January.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner now rakes in £173m-a-year – a huge increase on what he previously received at Manchester United.

His former Real Madrid teammate, Karim Benzema, earns a similar amount at new club Al-Ittihad.

Benzema swapped the Santiago Bernabeu for the Shining Jewel last month and he now earns £172m-a-year.

Golf star Phil Mickelson also earns the big bucks having joined the Saudi-owned LIV Golf League when it first formed.
