We all know honeymoons can be expensive, but Kyle Sandilands’ spending has blown the minds of his radio team.
On Sunday, the radio host landed back in Sydney after just over three weeks of soaking up the sun in the south of France and Barcelona. Now, Jackie O is pulling out the receipts – quite literally.
Sandilands was in for a treat on the Kyle and Jackie O Show this morning when his co-host brought along his credit card statement and began listing the costs of his lavish holiday on air.
“I can’t believe the amount of money you’ve spent on certain things,” she said.

“Well, what are we dealing with here? Now I’m getting nervous,” Sandilands said as Jackie O prepared to read out his statement.
“I never really look at the credit card expenses, ever.”
Jackie O announced the radio star’s total honeymoon cost was $513,430 and as she went through the list, Sandilands was left gasping at some of the figures.
Accommodation for Sandilands and wife Tegan Kynaston alone amounted a whopping $205,000.
His villa in St Tropez alone cost $155,000 for just over two weeks, while his four-night Barcelona accommodation set him back $50,000, amounting to just over $10,000 a night.

Jackie O was pleasantly surprised by Sandilands’ airfares, which cost him $35,000.
“I was actually quite impressed, whoever got your airfares got them a little bit cheaper than I got them for and you were in first [class],” she said.
“I feel like I got dudded.”
She didn’t have to worry about her airfares costing more than Sandilands’ for long, though, as she revealed his $80,000 spend on internal flights with his private jet.
“When you could’ve jumped on a normal domestic flight which would’ve cost nothing, 80 grand it’s cost you,” Jackie O said in shock.
“Fly private, there’s no better way in all honesty,” Sandilands responded, adamant the spend was worth it.
Additional transport included a ’round-the-clock driver who was hired and instructed to be around just “in case someone wanted to go somewhere”, Sandilands explained, plus a boat transfer and car rental costs – not to mention Intern Pete’s flight to join the rest of the crew.
The driver cost Sandilands $25,000 across the three weeks, while the boat transfer cost $3000 and the car rental $12,000.

Travel insurance added $3,500 to the blow, and to get ‘Intern Pete’ to St Tropez on such short notice, the radio king endured another hit to the pocket, with the economy ticket costing $7500.
With the travel and accommodation expenses totalling $371,000, Jackie O moved on to the finer details of the trip.
All the food expenses – including the times Sandilands generously shouted the crew – amounted to $60,000, and he tipped $20,000 alongside those costs.
“S–t, those Euros sting you, don’t they? You don’t really convert properly,” Sandilands noted, taking the costs as punches to the gut.
“I tip huge, and I don’t know why,” he added, noting he doesn’t care that France wasn’t generally a tipping country.
Alcohol racked up a $12,650 bill, and to complement the beverages, $5750 was spent on cigarettes and vapes.
A fruitless trip to the casino left the star $6000 poorer, while a jet skiing trip set Sandilands back an additional $3500.

Ironically, among the cheaper expenses on the trip was the nanny for the couple’s son Otto, who, in Sandilands’ words, “gave her life to us for three weeks”.
The accommodation, flights and meals for the nanny amounted to $21,000.
Jackie O left roughly $13,000 unaccounted for in her list, but it didn’t take away from the pain felt by those hearing the huge figures.
Despite the whopping amount of cash splashed by Sandilands, he noted the invaluable nature of memories, but then admitted he couldn’t remember a lot of the trip.
“You can’t replace those memories,” he started, before admitting that he slept a lot and was “so high” that he doesn’t remember.
