NORWICH manager David Wagner has responded to claims that Rangers are interested in Kieran Dowell.
The midfielder, who has scored five goals in the Championship this year, is entering the final couple of months of his contract at Carrow Road and is reportedly a target for Michael Beale in the summer.

He ticks a lot of boxes for the Rangers gaffer and he’s a player he knows very well from his time working down south.
It was suggested that Beale is interested in a summer swoop for the 25-year-old, who will be available on a free in the summer.
Dowell hasn’t played since February after he pulled ligaments in his knee but he is nearing his return to action and could feature before the end of the campaign.
But it won’t be plain sailing for Rangers to land the player as Wagner is reportedly keen on holding onto him for at least another season and is hoping to extend his current deal.
Now he has discussed his star‘s future even further, admitting that he doesn’t know what is going on behind the scenes regarding Rangers‘ interest.
The manager isn’t interested in talking about players who are out of contract in the summer, but hasn’t ruled out a potential exit for Dowell.
Wagner said: “I don’t like to speak about certain individuals. I know what is going on behind the scenes, but I don’t want to talk about it. Let’s focus on West Brom and not players out of contract.”
Meanwhile, Ryan Kent is reportedly a target for high-flying Turkish side Fenerbahce.
The former Liverpool man has been attracting interest from across the UK with newly-promoted Burnley and Leeds United said to be tracking him.
He is out of contract in the summer and is free to talk to other clubs about his future.
And if the reports from Turkey are true, it could see the winger in the Champions League again next season with Fenerbahce competing with Galatasaray for the title this year.
