Kate Hudson reveals she appeared in film Home Alone 2: Lost in New York and still gets 10-cent residuals

Kate Hudson is one of Hollywood’s biggest stars thanks to roles in films including Almost Famous, Bride Wars and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.

And now the star, who is the daughter of screen icon Goldie Hawn, has revealed she once appeared in the 1992 film, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, starring Macaulay Culkin.

According to US Weekly, Hudson, 44, said on her Sibling Revelry podcast that she appeared in an uncredited role as a choir girl in the hit film and said she still gets ”10-cent” residuals.

“I still get residuals from Home Alone 2 because I sang in the chorus,” Hudson said.

“I’m in that chorus, and then I get 10 cents every once in a while.”

After a podcast guest pointed out that to print the cheque and send it would cost more than 10 cents, Hudson added: ”At least they’re being fair and honest.”

It comes after Hudson revealed two months ago that she’s pursuing a singing career, 25 years after making her film debut.

Hudson said she’d have “creative regrets” if she didn’t pursue her music dream before telling fans she has learned to “be fearless in moves you make”.

“Two and a half years in the making. Lock down reminded me to have no creative regrets in life, take chances, don’t let anyone determine why or when you chose to put art in the world, be fearless in moves you make,” she said in her post.

“And music is my first creative love story that I would regret not sharing. Might be time 💫2024 gonna be fun💫.”

She also shared a video of herself in the recording studio with headphones on and a video of herself relaxing in the studio as a band member plays the drums.

Hudson shared a clip of herself singing the Song With A Little Help From My Friends by Joe Cocker.

Underneath the post, Hudson’s friends commented underneath, with Reese Witherspoon writing: “Yessss! I love your gorgeous voice and your fearless spirit!”

Singer Fergie wrote: “Yay!”

Hilary Swank added: “My dream is coming trueeeee!!!” You’re singing and making an album!”

Hudson previously told E! News: ”I’ve got 26 songs. We’re dwindling them down.”
