British actress Kate Beckinsale has hit back at a troll who said it was a “shame” she dyed her brunette locks bright blonde.
The Underworld star, 50, issued a scathing reply to the Instagram follower, telling him his “mother did a bad job” at raising him to think he can offer “unwarranted opinions”.
The troll wrote underneath her most-recent post: “Why such a color? I thought the original was better – a shame.”

She clapped back, writing: ”Because sometimes one fancies a change and is not too bothered about what [you] may think about it, given we clearly do not share the same aesthetic, nor do we know each other.”
“It’s not nice to have people coming up to you in person or online saying they don’t think your orange puffer jacket flatters you?” she added, in reference to a bright jacket the troll was wearing in his profile picture.
“Were you brought up to think your unwarranted opinion is the most important factor in any situation?”

“If so, tell your mum she did a bad job.”
Another follower defended Beckinsale, saying she looks “utterly fantastic” but insinuated she’s had cosmetic surgery.
“The work I had done was a cut and colour… which most women have done at some point haven’t they,” Beckinsale quipped.
