And despite her current glamorous occupation presenting the football alongside a host of star names, she hasn’t always been at the top.

In fact she started her professional life a whole world away from the football pitches and the tv cameras as an employee at Greggs.

Abdo revealed live on air that her first ever job was working for the northern bakery serving customers their sausage rolls and steak bakes.

Speaking on CBS Sport, she said: “[I used to work at] Greggs in Stretford. I wasn’t dripping in Louis Vuitton so much back then – It was my first job.”

The revelation left Carragher shocked as he couldn’t believe that Abdo had started out working in the well known chain, asking: “You used to work for Greggs?!”

And he was even more surprised when he found out exactly why she ended up leaving the role.

Abdo revealed that she was in fact FIRED for getting her tongue pierced whilst at the company.

She said: “I got fired. I got my tongue pierced and I couldn’t speak to people properly.”

Both Carragher and Richards were in hysterics at the revelation and were teasing their colleague as a result.

Abdo has come a long way from her days cooking up baked good and is now the face of CBS Sports’ football coverage.

She’s not short of talent either with the star fluent in English, Spanish, French and German.
