Kardashian fans slam Kim for ‘using her children’ to ‘deflect’ from major scandal in divisive new photos

KIM Kardashian has been accused of posting photos of her children to deflect from the scandal surrounding Balenciaga, a brand she has a close relationship with.

The reality star has released a statement addressing the recent controversy surrounding the fashion house, but many of her followers on social media are not ready to move on.

Kim, 42, has carried on as normal on social media since she wrote on Twitter that she is “re-evaluating” her relationship with Balenciaga.

The brand has been widely condemned after it released an ad campaign last month that showed a child’s teddy bear wearing BDSM gear.

Earlier this week, Kim shared a bunch of photos from her son Saint’s seventh birthday party.

The family enjoyed a lavish celebration at the SoFi stadium watching the Los Angeles Rams play in a private box.

However, as the mom-of-four posted the happy pics, some fans accused her of trying to distract attention away from the Balenciaga ordeal.

“We see you using your kids to make us forget about Balenci-evil’s campaign… we will not forget Kim!” wrote one enraged commenter.

A second posted: “I love how the ‘celebrities’ forgot. Have some decency Kim.”

“Now you post your boys after being called out online about it,” chimed in a third.

Many others simply used the hashtag “#kancelkim”.

THE COMPANY KIM KEEPS

Kim has landed herself in hot water after she was slow to respond to the outrage over Balenciaga’s recent campaigns.

The Paris fashion label first caused a stir after one ad showed a child’s teddy bear wearing a bondage-style harness.

Online critics then noticed a page from the 2008 Supreme Court decision United States v. Williams in the backdrop for another ad showcasing a $3,000 purse.

The ruling upheld part of a federal child pornography law that criminalized advertising, promoting, presenting or distributing such indecent material.

As one of the world’s most famous faces of Balenciaga, Kim received heavy criticism for not quickly speaking out against the shoot.

11 days after the campaign’s release, she finally issued a response via Twitter .

‘I AM SHOOK’

“I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been disgusted and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened,” she began.

“As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images.

“The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period.”

She added that she is “re-evaluating” her relationship with the brand, which has pulled both campaigns.

Balenciaga has also deleted its Twitter account and all its previous Instagram posts amid the controversy.

In a statement, the company wrote: “We want to learn from our mistakes and identity ways we can contribute.

“Balenciaga reiterates its sincere apologies for the offense we have caused and extends its apologies to talents and partners.”

Balenciaga has also sued the production company behind the ad for $25m.
