Kalvin Phillips in line for shock summer transfer to Champions League giants as Man City swoop for Declan Rice

MANCHESTER CITY star Kalvin Phillips is in line for a shock move to Bayern Munich, according to reports.

The champions could let the midfielder leave if they are able to beat Arsenal in the battle for West Ham captain Declan Rice.

Phillips is on Bayern’s summer shortlist and the club supposedly have a good relationship with his agency CAA Stellar.

The Bundesliga side are desperate to sign a holding midfielder and even went in for Rice.

However, he wants to stay in the Premier League, forcing Bayern to go for other targets.

West Ham are also interested in Phillips and he could be part of a player plus cash bid for Rice expected to go in shortly, giving them the upper hand in the race.

The former Leeds ace wants to stay at City but could be forced out.

And he may opt for Germany over the Hammers.

Phillips had a tough first season at the Etihad, starting just two league matches on route to the Treble.

The 27-year-old’s contract does not expire until 2028.

Bayern could make a double swoop for City stars with the club also keen on Kyle Walker.

Manager Thomas Tuchel is pushing for the transfer as they search for a new full-back after deciding not to make Joao Cancelo‘s loan permanent.

Walker sees his deal at City end next summer and he could be seeking a new challenge.
